Clitheroe Ghost Tours
The Swan and Royal are very pleased to be able to promote the Ghost Walks of Clitheroe run by Simon Entwistle. The Swan and Royal, steeped in history, is part of the Ghost Walks. Listen with interest and trepidation as Simon will recall the time in 1878 when George Easton infamously read the Riot Act from the doors of the Swan and Royal. At the same time a chamber maid who had given birth to a child by one of the soldiers stationed in the town, was found hanging in one of the rooms at the Swan and Royal.
